Guidelines for Submissions
Items can be from two sentences to 350 words, single spaced. Deadline for submissions is each Sunday at 5pm.If relevant, include links.
ARTICLES
Articles can be from 500- 1000 words (or up to 2 pages), single spaced.
Deadline for articles is the 10th and 24th of each month. Articles are
required to be researched and include proper citations. Articles may
include interviews, links, excerpts, pictures and/or multi-media.
Articles may be edited for grammatical errors prior to publication.
CREATIVE WRITING
Short stories can be up to 3 pages in length, single spaced; poems, 50 lines, double spaced. (see 3.)
SUBMISSION PROCEEDURE
1. Email the editor
your news, article, or creative writing piece as an attachment in pdf or
.doc format with "Submission" in the subject line. Also include which
section your submission is for ie: "Submission-News"
2. Include your name and email address in the body of the email.
2.2 You may also include any links to your personal writing website or Scribd account.
*By submitting your work, you agree to have your writing and name published on the Montrealites
website. Articles are subject to a light edit. You will receive receipt
of your submission within two days,and be notified when your article or
creative work is published. No notification is given for news pieces.
