Winner and Reviews by Others

And the Winner Is...

It's probably apparent by now that my favorite wonton soup of the bunch was Kam Do's. Its wonton dumplings were so perfectly shaped, delicate and flavorful that they could probably be served as dim-sum. It's not surprising that this is a popular place in the neighborhood that attracts patrons from multiple ethnicities, including Asian - which is always a good sign. I have heard both good and bad things about Kam Do over the years, but as far as I'm concerned, their wonton soup is a winner and an absolute delight down to the very last drop. That being said, Kam Do is really geared towards take-out and delivery orders, and thought servers are fast, friendly and knowledgeable, the dining room is undersized and seriously lacks ambiance. The location right beside the metro does however make it a convenient place to stop for a quick bite or to get something to go that you can enjoy at home.

A close runner up and unexpected surprise was Tai Leung's wonton soup, which had a truly unique flavor. Tucked away on the second floor and with ample seating room and large tables, Tai Leung is well suited for sit down dinners and can easily accommodate larger groups. I'm genuinely pleased that I finally had an excuse to try this restaurant that has been piquing my curiosity for some time now. I definitely plan on going back to try the other offerings on their menu and might even be inspired to write a more exhaustive review on the place. Check back soon!
